Terms & Conditions
1. Overview

These Terms & Conditions apply to all tours booked with Remarkable Tears Safari, a family-owned adventure travel company based in Arusha, Tanzania.

By confirming a booking, you agree to these Terms on behalf of all clients included in the booking. The main contact person is responsible for communication and accuracy of all client information.


2. Deposits & Payment
  • A 25% deposit is required to confirm a booking
  • Deposit secures tour arrangements and planning
  • Final payment is due 6 weeks before departure
  • Bookings made within 6 weeks must be paid in full
  • All payments must be free of bank charges or card fees

3. Booking Confirmation

A booking becomes confirmed only when:

  • Deposit is received, and
  • Written confirmation is issued by Remarkable Tears Safari

The booking contact must:

  • Be 18 years or older
  • Provide accurate information
  • Confirm they have authority for all clients in the booking

4. Cancellation Policy

Cancellation fees per person:

  • Cancellation must be submitted in writing
  • Charges apply based on receipt date of cancellation notice

5. Company Cancellation

If the company cancels:

  • Full refund or alternative tour will be offered
  • No compensation for additional expenses incurred
  • Cancellation only occurs under exceptional or uncontrollable conditions (force majeure)

6. Travel Insurance
  • Not provided by the company
  • Mandatory for all clients
  • Must include:
    • Medical coverage
    • Emergency evacuation
    • Repatriation
  • Cancellation cover is strongly recommended

7. Medical Responsibility

Clients must:

  • Disclose medical conditions honestly
  • Assess personal fitness for travel
  • Consult a doctor before travel

Important note:

  • Travel involves remote areas with limited medical facilities
  • Standards may differ significantly from home countries

8. Special Requests
  • Dietary or accommodation requests will be considered
  • These are not guaranteed
  • They do not form part of the contract

9. Pricing Policy
  • Prices may change up to 30 days before departure
  • Changes may result from:
    • Fuel costs
    • Accommodation rates
    • Taxes or park fees
    • Currency fluctuations

If price increases:

  • Clients may cancel without penalty
  • Or accept the revised price (within 14 days response required)

10. Itinerary Changes

The company may modify itineraries due to:

  • Weather
  • Mechanical issues
  • Political or border changes
  • Operational constraints

Key rules:

  • No liability for changes outside control
  • No refunds for unused services caused by such changes
  • Equivalent accommodation will be provided if needed

11. Risk & Safety

Clients accept that:

  • Adventure travel involves inherent risks
  • Personal responsibility for safety is required
  • Safety instructions must be followed at all times

The company may remove any client who:

  • Poses risk to others
  • Breaks laws or regulations
  • Causes disruption

No refunds are issued in such cases.

13. Third-Party Suppliers
  • External providers are used for services
  • The company is not responsible for their actions or failures

14. Liability

The company is not liable for:

  • Loss or theft of personal belongings
  • Injuries caused by client negligence
  • Force majeure events
  • Third-party failures

Clients are responsible for their own possessions at all times.


15. Force Majeure

Events outside control include:

  • Natural disasters
  • War or unrest
  • Government actions
  • Epidemics
  • Severe weather

In such cases:

  • Tours may be modified or cancelled
  • Refunds may be reduced based on incurred costs

16. Marketing Use
  • Photos/videos taken during tours may be used for marketing
  • Copyright remains with the company
  • Client consent is implied by participation

17. Amendments
  • Terms may be updated anytime
  • Changes take effect 10 days after publication
  • Continued use implies acceptance
